Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By accessing or using FlowCheck ("the Service"), operated by PopUp Technologies ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

FlowCheck provides a financial data reconciliation API that connects to third-party payment processors (Stripe) and banking providers (Plaid) on your behalf. The Service retrieves, stores, and processes payout records, bank transaction data, and account balance information to provide reconciliation, discrepancy detection, and financial reporting through our API and dashboard.

3. Account and Access

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API keys and account credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.

4. Financial Data Authorization

By connecting your Stripe account and bank accounts through Plaid, you authorize FlowCheck to:

  • Retrieve and store your Stripe payout records, including amounts, dates, status, and bank destination details
  • Retrieve and store bank transaction data through Plaid, including transaction amounts, dates, descriptions, and account balances
  • Store encrypted access credentials (Stripe restricted API keys and Plaid access tokens) necessary to maintain your connections
  • Process this data to perform automated reconciliation, matching Stripe payouts to corresponding bank deposits
  • Generate alerts and reports based on discrepancies between payment processor and bank data

You may revoke this authorization at any time by disconnecting your accounts in the dashboard settings. Upon disconnection, we will stop retrieving new data but may retain previously synced data as described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Data Security

All sensitive credentials (Stripe API keys, Plaid access tokens, webhook signing secrets) are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM encryption. API keys for accessing the FlowCheck API are stored as SHA-256 hashes and can never be retrieved after initial creation. Data in transit is encrypted using TLS 1.2 or higher.

6. Billing and Credits

The Service operates on a credit-based billing model. New accounts receive 100 trial credits valid for 7 days. Paid plans are billed monthly and include a monthly credit allocation. Unused credits roll over and do not expire. Credits are subject to reasonable use limits to ensure service stability. Each plan has a maximum credit balance equal to six times the monthly allocation. Monthly credit additions that would exceed this cap are reduced accordingly. Purchased credit top-ups are not subject to this cap. Refunds are not provided for unused credits.

7. Service Availability

FlowCheck is currently in beta. We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uptime. The Service depends on third-party APIs (Stripe, Plaid) which may experience their own outages. We are not liable for inaccuracies in data provided by third-party services.

8. Limitation of Liability

FlowCheck provides financial data aggregation and reconciliation tools. We are not a financial advisor, auditor, or bank. The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for any financial decisions made based on data provided by the Service, or for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will retain your data for 30 days after termination to allow for data export, after which it will be permanently deleted.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or dashboard notification at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
